Surrounded by steep slopes and high peaks, Valpschiavo is not only suitable for long hikes in the mountains. The valley also offers paths with minimal height differences to follow. For those looking for an easy hike, the largely flat valley floor is ideal. From the church of San Carlo you climb for a hundred meters in the direction of Somaino, then continue in the boso and finally descend north of Poschiavo. From here on the route is flat. The second part of the walk leads through a pretty landscape characterized by meadows, hedges and dry stone walls, continuing in a second time along the Poschiavino river. In Rutisc you cross an idyllic landscape with ponds and streams of crystal clear water. The last stage of the walk winds directly along Lake Poschiavo.

The itinerary offers a lot of variety: there are naturalistic stretches with a beautiful panorama, pedestrian walkways, tunnels and even two short tunnels.
