Museum of tobacco culture and processing
MUSEUM OF TOBACCO CULTURE AND PROCESSING
In Brusio, land is scarce but fertile, and generations of farmers have been able to work it with foresight. Tobacco is the most emblematic example of this capacity for renewal: for more than 150 years it has ensured the livelihood of many families and helped create a supply chain that has evolved and still lives on thanks to numerous companies active in the agribusiness sector.
The goal of the Brusio Tobacco Museum is to preserve the memory of this unique experience in Graubünden.
The Misani Tobacco Factory is the last vestige in the valley of tobacco cultivation and processing. The building was built around the mid-19th century and is one of the few examples of the manufacturing industry of the time still preserved in its original state.
